Karunesh
Karunesh (born Bruno Reuter 1956 in Cologne, Germany) is an internationally recognized New Age, Ambient and World Fusion musician, one most renowned artists in these genres.
Although he had been drawn to music as a child, he did first study graphic design as a career. Following a life-changing motorcycle accident in his youth, Karunesh embarked on a spiritual journey that led him to India, where he adopted his spiritual name Karunesh (Compassion). Here he deepened his understanding of Meditation and Eastern musical traditions and did choose and follow music as his path, instead of graphic design.
He is one of the first and most important Pioneers in New Age and World Fusion and his first albums became classics in the New Age Scene. Several of his World Fusion titles can be found on many Buddha Bar albums and numerous other compilations. His active Meditation Album "Heart Chakra Meditation" is internationally well known and practiced around the globe. His work blends global instruments and spiritual traditions with the liberal use of Instruments such as Sitar, Tabla, Bansuri, Shakuhaji, Duduk and World Percussion Instruments with electronic soundscapes. His Music draws inspiration from Eastern philosophy, meditation and the rhythms of the natural world, creating immersive soundscapes that evoke peace, introspection, and connection.
